Update the look of your kitchen with stunning stone or quartz stone countertops. We provide easy installation for the following countertop surfaces:
Natural Stone:
Natural Stone is an Unique product created by nature therefore no two slabs are alike. Variations can occur between slab to slab. Beautiful natural stone surfaces include granite, marble, limestone, and soapstone.
Granite:
Great
for both outdoor and indoor use, granite is a coarse-grained, hard igneous rock
consisting of quartz and feldspar accompanied by one or more dark minerals.
With a wide range of colours, the texture is typically homogeneous but may be
gneissic (a banded appearance) or porphyritic (inconsistent crystal sizes).
Granite
is a very durable and versatile surface, making it ideal for kitchen
countertops and fireplace surrounds. As one of the hardest stones on the
planet, granite is scratch, weather, and water resistant. Additionally, this
natural stone can be stain-resistant to hot grease and oil when sealed with a
silicone-based impregnator.
Best
uses: Countertops for Kitchens, Wet bars and Vanities, fireplaces,
vanities, shower walls and tub decks.
Marble
Marble
is a metamorphic rock composed of carbonate minerals such as dolomite and
limestone. Relatively homogenous in appearance, its colour ranges in white,
pinks, blues and greens.
The
characteristic streaks within the stone are normally due to other mineral
impurities such as iron oxides, clay, sand and silica. A softer stone in
comparison to granite, marble is more porous and it not recommended for kitchen
countertops. However; marble remains cooler in relation to room temperature,
making it ideal for use as pastry boards.
Best
uses: Countertops for Vanities, tub decks, shower walls and fireplaces.
Quartzite
Quartzite
is a metamorphic rock created by intense heating and tectonic compression of
sandstone. mineral impurities play a significant role in colour variation, with
shades ranging in whites, reds, blues, yellows, browns, and greens.
In
comparison to granite, quartzite is just as hard and durable, if not more, due
to its highere quartz composition (with a few exceptions). Like granite, with proper sealing, quartzite
can be stain resistant to oils and grease in addition to being scratch, water,
and weather resistant.
Best uses: Countertops for Kitchens, wet bars and vanities, shower walls, tub decks.
Manufactured:
Engineered
Quartz:
Engineered Quartz is 93% crushed quartz, one of nature's hardest minerals. The quartz is
combined with high-quality polymer resins and pigments and then compacted under
intense vibration, vacuum, and pressure into dense, non-porous slabs. The slabs
are post cured, gauged to precise thickness, and polished to an enduring shine.
Best uses: Countertops for Kitchens, wet bars and vanities, shower walls, tub decks.
Solid Surface:
Solid surface
is a non-porous low-maintenance material used for surfaces such as countertops.
It can mimic the appearance of natural stone and can be joined nearly invisibly by our trained fabricators. Typically
manufactured in sheet form for fabrication into finished countertops, solid
surface can also be cast into a variety of shapes, including sinks, shower pans and walls. Solid surface sinks can be joined to the countertop surface with no
gaps, which eliminates areas for water to collect and bacteria to grow. Integral backsplashes can
also be created to create a seamless look.
Best uses: Kitchens, counter tops, wet bars, vanities, shower walls, tub decks.
Recycled Materials:
Countertops manufactured by Eco Stoneworks™ that are maintenance and stain-free.
